Introduction


Are you a good son or daughter? Some kids aren’t sure. In order to be a good son or daughter you need to be sure to listen, help out and be thankful.

Listen

One thing parents hate is when their kid doesn’t listen to them, and that doesn’t just mean hearing. Listening is when you look at your parents when they talk and actually process what they’re saying. Then once you’ve processed what they’ve said, actually go and do it.

2nd idea

Help Out 

Parents love it when they’re kids are helpful around the house. Especially when you do it without being asked. Try little things, like washing the dishes or even just bringing in the groceries and it’ll make things a lot easier for your parents. Helping around truly has its advantages.

Be Thankful 

Your parents do a lot for you. They feed you, clothe you, put a roof over your heads. That’s just a tiny portion of how much love your parents put into you. So say thank you and show it through your actions. Maybe even give your parents a massage when they come home from work, or give them breakfast in bed in the morning. Your parents want to feel loved and appreciated too.

Conclusion

So now that you’ve read my story about “Role Models” are you strong, powerful and motivational enough to be a good role model? Everyone has the strength to be a role model. So use your strength and become a better role model then you already are!

COVID 19 > WELLNESS PLAN


Task Description : Yesterday we did a paper version of this . Instead of using the Whare Tapa Wha we made our own . We got to work in a group , the people in my group were Aaliah , Nahea , Antzel and Lao Lao . At first we got confused but we fixed it . Go check out their blogs also .

Task Description : Today for our taha challenge we had to write the best moment with our family , this is my favourite !!

Everyday Theatre

Today We got a very special visitor named soy sauce . We got to play a game and figure out the characters problems , we asked questions but they had to be appropriate . The Characters were
        T - Bag        Jack - Hat      Maraea - Scarf         Becca - Book         Brian - Tag
We had to figure out why Maraea treats Becca so special , even though that's not her real daughter . She also gave us a card for whenever we need help or are stuck in a situation we could call a number .

The legend Of Kava Tonga

Today in literacy we watched a video about how KAVA got its name , it was very interesting to watch. It all started when only fefafa , Fefanga and there daughter were on the island until one day the king and some other men came . They were tired and needed food . The men saw fefafa and Fefanga , the couple agreed to bring the king some food . There was only 1 thing they could eat on the island but the king was sitting on it , they were left with only one option which was very heartbreaking . They were going to sacrifice there daughter for the king . One of the soilder/ men that came saw the daughter , but soon after that she was nowhere to be found . They decided to search for her but it was too late , Fefafa / her father had already killed the daughter . Once the king found out he explained how thankful he was but he refused to eat her . The king also said to leave her body alone and dont touch it . The next day they came back and two plants grew from it , one kava and the other a sugar cane . They also saw a rat that had eaten the kava it looked like it was drunk but when it went to eat the sugar cane he became sober .

- this story was very sad because they had to kill their daughter in order for the king to eat . It also showed how loyal the couple was to the king and his men . They didn't break there promise but they found another way . In the story they didn't say that the daughter was already sick so now i kinda understand why they had to kill her .

Oral Languge Activity



Task Description : Oral Language , how long did i listen ? Today Mrs Tele'a read some instructions and we had to label  . For me this was very easy and Fun !

            Write 5 compound sentences including conjunctions . A conjunction is a word used to
   connect  words , but a compound is two words together ( for example in - to that is one word but 2                                                                       individual words .

Metric Conversions



Task Description : We are learning how to Convert between metric units . I found this hard because i didn't know much about litres and kilograms but this helped . One thing i can do better next to is try to finish it earlier because i spent 4 days doing this . I never started but today i decided to and it only took 10 minutes  .

Year 8 and 7 leader talks

  • Sauma said that she enjoyed year 7 step up because not just the prefects were being leaders but everyone. 
  • Nina said she enjoyed the food. 
  • They were all showing support 
  • Co-operation is the key
  • The year 8s said they got out of there comfort zone 
  • The teams waited patiently when they got there food at camp
  • They said theirs a camp to show theirs skills and what they can do. 
  • They stepped up as leaders 
  • Working together to achieve there goal 
  • Bradley said he liked being a prefect . 

WRiting aBoUt YeAr 7 sTeP uP

Last Week i didnt go to camp so i stayed back and did the the year 7 step up programme . We got split into three groups and the year 8s were split into the three groups too. I got put into group 2 . Our teacher was Mrs Ilaoa .

First we went to our teachers class (home class for the week) . We had to figure out a chant and team name . I went to go record the other team . Mrs Moalas group was call THUNDER . Wheae Kelly's group was called DUCK LIFE quack quack.  Mrs Ilaoas group was STRIKERS ( the group i was in ) .

After 1 hour we finally got our chant and name finished. We performed infront of the other groups our team won and got 150 points . In middle block we did our first rotation , we did activites with cups, marshmallows and pasta and biscuts .

The secound day we did murder mysteries , it was very hard because i forgot the asnwers from last year. We moved on and did the second mystery . WE finshed and got all of them correct . WE went to wheae kelly afterwards . We made quotes inside of a shape or object.  We had sports everyday after lunch .

On the last day we had assembly and we earned points there. Afterwards we had a riff off and we stacked cups . We got trouble so we had to clean the classes . We watched a movie then ate the yummmmmmy shared lunch . We stayed in and offered to clean , whaea kelly gave us some hot chips . We cleaned some more during last block and we finally got to go to class. We hanged out then went to class.
